I heart reworking it!
So I bought this new bag from Oxfam, which orginally an old leather jacket and a young designer reworked it. The profits from the bag go to charity and I get a beautiful unique leather bag. The shop is on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill and I would definately recommend checking it out because it is 100 times better than any of the vintage stores within the area.

I heart boredom:
Om so one of my friends may have to be admitted to hospital, so I decided to make her a little hospital pack, just containing a book, a notebook, some slippers, photos and some cosmetics, just to cure the many hours of boredom that there always seems to be as soon as you step foot in a hospital.

Follow your heart and do what you love doing: I love cooking so tonight I cooked a meal for my older brother.

heart 1

So this is the first heart and I thought I would start with something simple. Last week I purchased The Body Shop's Soft Hands Kind Heart Hand Cream last week (www.thebodyshop.co.uk), which is absolutely divine for two main reasons:
  1. It is absolutely lush: it smells divine- really fresh but also sweet and it is great for your hands.
  2. Most importantly the proceeds of which go towards the charity ECPAT (www.ecpat.org.uk), which protects children against sexual exploitation including trafficking.

From this, I decided more could be done so I have joined there cause on facebook and invited friends to as well. A simple heart

What, Who Where, When, Why

This is my aim that within a year, I will perform 1001 random acts of kindness, which will range from the littlest things to hopefully the huge life-changing experiences that will revolutionise the life of myself and others around me! 1001 averages to just under three acts of kindness a day, which shouldn't be too difficult.

I am a 19 year-old, currently studying at a university, who just wants to make a difference to the world she lives in because she is fed up with seeing the devastation, pain and inhumanity spread across the papers and on the news channels on a daily basis.

I am blogging this for two main reasons:
Firstly, I am hoping that by blogging all of this that I will be held accountable for my actions and won't give up halfway through the challenge!
Secondly, I want to inspire other people to do a similar kind of thing, just so that love can be spread across the world.
